The RHINO safety brake dolly was invented by an airline mechanic for airline mechanics (Patent #6,481,947). This piece of equipment will simplify and safely enhance the encumbering and often times endangering task of removing the wheel and brake of the plane, and replacing the same without employing the costly use of manpower and equipment. It attaches to the brake assembly, pulls the unit off, and packs it in its own self-shipping container. For more information visit www.rhinobc.com.

Goodyear offers an aluminum core bead for use in aviation tires. The patented light weight alloy bead core using aluminum results in weight savings. The traditional construction of the bead has a steel center wrapped by strands of high tensile wire. Goodyear has found a way to replace the steel core with aluminum. The tire with this innovation, H37.5x12.0R19, will be fitted on the Gulfstream G650. The weight savings on this tire equates to 3 pounds per tire. Goodyear introduced the first airplane tire in 1909, and since then, has continued to innovate in aviation tires. For more information visit www.goodyearaviation.com.

- Product From Bill Thomas Associates (BTA)
-
Bill Thomas Associates has developed a tool for changing worn brakes from the axles. The BTA J.E.T. brake container has four easy steps: remove lid and slide worn brake off axle; lift base i.e., lift brake still in container using dolly; lower base with dolly; and invert empty base and latch the container halves around worn brake. The empty container half becomes the lid for the worn brake. Please specify aircraft brake type when ordering. For more information call (661) 295-4968 or visit www.billthomasassociates.com.
