Aerospace Ratchet

Oct. 29, 2009

Proto's1/4- and 3/8-in. drive Aerospace Ratchets have been engineered with features that improve productivity, reduce down time, and minimize the risk of foreign object damage (FOD) to equipment. The ratchet's small, pear-shaped head gets into tight spots, while the 45-tooth gear/floating pawl design provides an 8-degree ratcheting angle. It includes a vertical through-hole where users can insert a hex key for the installation of frangible collars on threaded pins. To reduce the risk of FOD, sockets are held securely in place by a metal ring clip. The head is sealed to keep debris from getting in and lubricants from leaking out.The ergonomically designed handle includes knurled bands for a better grip, while the low profile reversing lever allows for quick, one-handed operation. Handles are made from full polished chrome-nickel plated steel for enhanced corrosion protection and easy cleanup.
