While Miller recommends using a 1/6-inch or smaller diameter tungsten electrode for low-amperage arc starts or for welding thin materials, the power source™s improved arc starting circuit also provides positive arc starts with larger 3/32-, 5/32-, and 1/8-inch diameter tungsten. The Syncrowave™s low-end arc starting circuit also increases operator convenience and productivity because welders can standardize on one tungsten diameter instead of switching tungsten sizes based on welding amperage and base metal thickness.
