Low Plasticity Burnishing (LPB) applies a deep, stable layer of compression in high stress areas of components to extend their service life and improve performance. The patented process works by rolling a high-hardness ball across the surface of the work piece to create zones of beneficial compression. The depth, magnitude, and distribution of the protective zone is designed for the applied stresses, component geometry, and operating environment. The ball is supported by a constant volume flow of fluid, preventing any chance of dragging or damaging the component. LPB is performed using CNC machine tools or robots, making it easily fit into production and maintenance facilities. Parts can be treated during manufacturing or after they have been in service. No alteration of the component’s material or design is required. For more information visit www.lambdatechs.com or call (513) 561-0883.

- Product From Temple Allen Industries
Working closely with our European launch customer, Temple Allen has developed a pneumatic low-vibration sanding tool for wing-top sanding operations. An advanced prototype, shown here, incorporates ergonomic handles, a dual-inline sanding head, a vibration-absorbing boom, and an optional fluid delivery system. Production systems will offer, like our EMMA systems, an interchangeable selection of end effectors to accommodate different pad sizes and orbits for task-specific requirements; an integrated dust collection system which turns on with the sander and routes particulate to HEPA-rated 3M Clean Sanding Filter Bags. Temple Allen's new Wing-Top Sander is patent pending, and has been CE-certified for the European market. For more information visit
- Product From Aircraft Tool Supply Company
Reduce waste in the hangar. Reverse brake bleeding allows you to purge your brake lines quickly and efficiently while reducing fluid loss. Aircraft Tool Supply's ATS Deluxe Brake Bleeder Tank is designed to bleed and re-charge your brake system while at the same time resisting the solvent effects of these fluids. It features a completely reengineered hand operated pressurizing pump that will deliver more pressure with fewer strokes. Aviation customers highly recommend this product. The plastic reservoir will withstand most types of petroleum-based and synthetic aviation brake fluids such as 5605 and Skydrol. For more information visit
