Eaton U-Plex seals

Eaton Corporation™s aerospace business offers U-Plex pneumatic seals, an interchangeable alternative to a traditional E-seal that, under testing, showed that it can seal when assembled flanges are distorted as much as 2.5 to five times more than a conventional E-seal can. The U-Plex is a metallic seal that allows for greater deflection capacity with lower bending stresses, providing extended seal performance among other benefits. The area of the pneumatic system that the U-Plex most shows benefit is the metallic joint system; it is capable of sealing beyond its axial free height due to its two-ply design that allows for increased elasticity and structure.
