Capital Safety DBI-SALA Mobi-Lok vacuum anchor

Dec. 10, 2008
DBI-SALA, a Capital Safety brand, introduces the Mobi-Lok self-contained vacuum anchor, available in an aviation-rated model and an economical general industry model. The Mobi-Lok is nearly 40 percent lighter than previous generations of vacuum anchors, weighing in at less than 20 pounds. The self-contained vacuum anchor provides a portable, non-penetrating personal fall arrest system anchor for use on smooth surfaces. Within the aviation industry, the anchor can be attached to the fuselage or wings without penetrating or damaging the aircraft™s surface. The aviation model incorporates anti-scuff and Skydrol resistant pads, along with intrinsically safe electronics, making the anchor ideal for aircraft inspections and maintenance. The one-piece design allows the unit to be placed on a surface and provide an instant, single anchor point through use of the on-board compressed air bottle, without the need for hoses or connections. A unit is also available that can be used with shop air. The pads of the anchor conform to a radius of 30 inches or more, preventing the need for multiple pad options. The Mobi-Lok may also be used in tandem with a secondary pad and set up for a two-person horizontal lifeline system. For more information, call (800) 328-6146 or visit www.capitalsafety.com.
