Pressure Decay Tester

Dec. 10, 2008

This complete test station provides all necessary equipment to inspect and test any aircraft heating system from the Lockheed Super Constellation to the smallest Piper aircraft, and is designed for FAA-approved aviation repair stations. The unit enables fast compliance with airworthiness directives requiring pressure decay testing of combustion tubes and/or adjustments to combustion air pressure switches, without removing the heater from the aircraft. It can inspect, test, and adjust all Janitrol and South Wind combustion heaters. Some of the checks made with this tester are heater output temperatures, duct and cycling switch adjustments, overheat switch settings, heater exhaust temperatures, and ventilation/combustion air blower motor performance. The tester has many other uses in the field, including exhaust gas temperature monitoring, cylinder temperatures, density controller adjustments, induction leaks, muffler inspection, and more.
