ORION Deicer

Global has extended its product range and is introducing a new self-propelled, aircraft de-icer model for the regional and executive aircraft market. The new product, called the ORION, is based on the Terex Genie mobile Telehandler powered by a 99-hp Cummins turbo diesel and can be driven and operated from the basket with the operational one-man drive system. It has a working height of 47 feet with a 27-foot forward reach and 4-wheel drive and steer for maximum maneuverability. The standard model will be provided with two tanks, the de-icing tank for Type I fluid of 700 gallons (2,650 liters) capacity, and an anti-icing Type II or IV tank with a capacity of 180 gallons (681 liters). Different tanks sizes are available for both de-icing and anti-icing fluids.
