Castle & Cooke Aviation Enhances Management Team

July 3, 2018

Castle & Cooke Aviation welcomes three staff members to its dedicated management team: Casey Pullman, general manager of Castle & Cooke Aviation Van Nuys (KVNY); Joshua Yun, the company’s new controller; and the promotion of Natalie Hidalgo to customer service manager at KVNY.

As general manager, Pullman will be responsible for directing and supervising all FBO activities in one of the nation’s highest-profile markets. Pullman joins the Castle & Cooke Aviation team with 15 years of experience in general and operations management, strategic planning, and business development. Along with his extensive career in aviation as a general manager, airport manager and airport operations officer, Pullman also served as a personnel specialist in the United States Navy.

Pullman earned a Master of Business Administration in aviation and Bachelor of Science in professional aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He is also a certified member of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), and is active with the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) and Southern California Aviation Association (SCAA). Pullman lives in Simi Valley, California, with his wife—Elena—and four children (three daughters, ages 11, 3 and 15 months; and one son, age 9). In his spare time, Pullman enjoys fishing and sports.

As the company’s new controller, Yun is responsible for handling Castle & Cooke Aviation’s finance and accounting related tasks, including all liaison with the Castle & Cooke corporate finance division. Yun brings with him nearly 20 years of high-level financial experience as a detail-oriented CPA with expertise in revenue and profit management, accounting and budgeting, financial objectives and sales forecasting, and staff training and leadership.

Yun received a Bachelor of Arts in business economics from the University of California. He resides in Valencia, California, with his wife, Tammy, and three kids—though two are in college and the third is on the way to college in the fall. In his spare time, Yun enjoys playing golf.

Taking on the demanding role of customer service manager at Castle & Cooke Aviation Van Nuys, Hidalgo will lead its team in providing nonstop excellence and elegance to all of its current and future customers.

Born and raised in the Los Angeles area, Hidalgo began her career in private aviation in 2008 when she learned of an opportunity in the industry from a friend. Intrigued by the opportunity, and with strong positive influences from family and friends who were also in private aviation, Hidalgo took the leap. While her career has always been at Van Nuys Airport in customer service for various aviation operations, and as an assistant general manager for a rental car company, Hidalgo began her career with Castle & Cooke Aviation in 2013. She quickly moved up the ranks to customer service supervisor and, now, customer service manager.

Outside of aviation, Hidalgo and her boyfriend reside in the Porter Ranch neighborhood of Los Angeles, hiking and dancing every chance they get.

“We are confident Casey, Joshua and Natalie will make excellent additions to the Castle & Cooke Aviation management team, benefiting our customers, staff and overall operations,” said Tony Marlow, the company’s vice president of aviation operations and business development. “While they join us with extensive experience, they also bring new perspectives to the management team’s dynamic, as well as a fervent passion for aviation that is reflected in their work. We look forward to capitalizing on their expertise and insights as they begin their careers as managers within the Castle & Cooke Aviation company.”
