March 1, 2018 IRVING, Texas NextGen avionics leader FreeFlight Systems announced today that New United Goderich, Inc., of Huron Park, Ontario, has amended their Embraer 135/145 aircraft STC to include Honeywell’s RCZ8XXM Mode S Extended Squitter transponders and FreeFlight Systems’ 1203C SBAS/GNSS sensor for a complete ADSB Out solution. This amendment enables all Embraer ERJ 135/145 variants in FAA jurisdictions to have ADSB installed with the same kit used for the Honeywell RCZ8XXE. It also eliminates the need for the aircraft to have a Honeywell FMS, as the ADSB system will work with any FMS available in the marketplace today. EASA validation of the amendment is expected in April of this year.
About 1,000 variants of the Embraer 135/145 are in active service worldwide. This solution utilizes a streamlined, simple design to minimize installation aircraft down time the amendment requires no additional flight testing. Mandatory ADSB Out equipage is in effect or is scheduled in most jurisdictions globally, with the U.S. ADSB mandate only 22 months away.

The FreeFlight Systems 1203C SBAS/GNSS sensor is a certified, high-integrity position source in a compact, lightweight package. The 1203C pairs seamlessly with certified Mode S Extended Squitter transponders to provide a fully rulecompliant ADSB Out system.
With several hundred 1203Cs in service today across airline transport, military, and business aviation platforms, these receivers are characterized by their high performance, ease of installation, operational reliability and longevity. The 1203C can also serve as as the approved position source for TAWS/FMS, RNP, and other NextGen applications, and allows clients to take advantage of the operational and safety benefits provided by the NextGen airspace transformation without the need for extensive and costly avionics upgrades.
Additionally, The 1203C is available with an optional ADSB receiver the RANGRRX. This product pairing provides a certified ADSB position source as well as critical ADSB Flight Information Services Broadcast (FISB) data, both modernizing the aircraft cockpit and drastically improving situational awareness. The RANGRRX offers clients an installed solution that provides inflight ADSB In information to multitude of preferred mobile EFB applications and installed multifunction displays.
