Heli Expo - Las Vegas, Nevada/February 23, 2018 – Nebraska Gas Turbine Inc, a long-time turbine engine service provider, and Billings Flying Service, a Montana-based operator of a diverse fleet of helicopters including the T55-powered Chinooks and several T700-powered Blackhawks have teamed to offer engine maintenance services to other T55 operators. T700 service is another area of expertise for NGTI.

“We have provided engine maintenance support to Billings Flying Service for many years,” said Tracy Ogle, vice president, Nebraska Gas Turbine Inc. “It made sense to combine our efforts and expand our partnership to offer this service to others.”

Nebraska Gas Turbine Inc supports a wide variety of engines and their components including the T55 and T700. The Billings Flying Service investment in T55 OEM parts will enhance NGTI’s responsiveness. NGTI’s in-house repair services include cleaning, welding, blasting, balancing, coating, non-destructive testing and precision machining in addition to assembly and testing in its in-house computer-controlled test cell, capable of handling 6000 horsepower.

“Our CH47D Chinooks are among the heaviest lifting helicopters with the most horsepower in the helicopter industry today. The Sikorsky UH60 Blackhawk augments our abilities to fulfill a broad spectrum of helicopter operations,” said Al Blain, co-owner of Billings Flying Service. “NGTI helps keep us flying.
