Magnetic MRO will take care of SAS’ fleet of A320Neo with Leap-1A engines program from Autumn 2018 to Winter 2020.

Magnetic MRO, a Total Technical Care maintenance and asset management organisation, signed a contract with Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) to become their heavy maintenance partner for A320Neo aircraft - which is accepted as the future backbone of SAS narrow-body fleet.

Under the new agreement, Magnetic MRO will take care of SAS’ fleet of A320Neo with Leap-1A engines program from Autumn 2018 to Winter 2020, covering 23 checks in total.

“We are delighted that SAS has selected Magnetic MRO for A320Neo aircraft’s base maintenance support.” says Magnetic MRO Base Maintenance Director Sergei Shkolnik, “This is a historical deal for us as Airbus A320Neo Family is still a very young generation and not an everyday aircraft type you see in Estonia. At Magnetic MRO, however, we don’t wait for new agreements to train our staff against new capabilities. We are always ready and steady for new challenges, and looking forward to delivering a superior service as expected.”

“SAS is our long lasting partner and client; one of those who knows our service and staff quality the best.” says Risto Mäeots, CEO of Magnetic MRO. “Their allegiance and trust in our services and management have always triggered us to march towards new capabilities and challenges; that is to say the doors of A320Neo base maintenance services have now become wide open at Magnetic MRO.”
