Denver International Airport Celebrates United Airlines New Nonstop Service to Cozumel

Dec. 26, 2017

Denver International Airport (DEN) and United Airlines celebrated the inaugural of nonstop service between Denver and Cozumel, Mexico (CZM) Dec. 23. United is the only airline offering nonstop service between the two cities.

“We are pleased that our partner United Airlines will further DEN’s international reach by offering passengers more options between Denver and Mexico,” said airport CEO Kim Day. “Denver was Cozumel’s largest unserved market prior to the inauguration of this service, so we expect this seasonal nonstop flight to be very popular.”

Cozumel is an island in the Caribbean Sea off the eastern cost of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula.  Famous for its scuba diving and snorkeling, the town square and nearby Mayan ruins also offer visitors unique cultural experiences.

“United Airlines is looking forward to connecting more customers to the Mexican island of Cozumel,” said Jake Cefolia, United’s vice president of Sales.  “Our new service offers customers a convenient choice to get to this premier diving and vacation destination from the Rocky Mountain Region.”

United’s new service to Cozumel will operate once weekly on Saturdays through April 7, 2018.  Flights depart DEN at 8:11 a.m. and arrive CZM at 2:11 p.m.  Return flights depart CZM at 3:07 p.m. and arrive DEN at 5:32 p.m. These departure and arrival times change slightly throughout the operating season. The nonstop service will operate using Boeing 737 family of aircraft.
