Dustin Appointed to Naples Airport Authority Board

The Naples City Council appointed Kerry C. Dustin to the board of commissioners of the city of Naples Airport Authority. The board is comprised of five citizen volunteers who are appointed to four-year terms to govern the Airport Authority.

Founder and chairman of Falls River Group LLC, Dustin has more than 40 years of experience buying and selling businesses, structuring financing for acquisitions and valuing of closely held businesses and micro caps in the United States, Europe, Mexico and South America. A holder of Series 62 and Series 79 equivalent securities licenses, Dustin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from The Ohio State University and a Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve University School of Law. He is a former chairman, president and board member of IMAP, as well as a longtime member of the National Association of Corporate Directors and the Association for Corporate Growth.

A 20-year Naples resident, Dustin served previously as president of the Coquina Sands Association and chair of Boys Hope, Girls Hope of Northeast Ohio; vice chair of the Greater Cleveland Growth Association; chair and co-founder of Ohio Venture Association; and co-founder of the Northeast Ohio Software Association.

Other commissioners are Ted Brousseau, Michael J. Lenhard, Donna M. Messer and James Rideoutte.

Naples Municipal Airport is home to flight schools, air charter operators, car rental agencies, and corporate aviation and nonaviation businesses, as well as fire/rescue services, mosquito control, the Collier County Sheriff’s Aviation Unit and other community services. During the 2016-17 fiscal year, the airport accommodated 95,018 takeoffs and landings.

All funds used for the airport’s operation, maintenance and improvements are generated from activities at the airport or federal and state grants from aviation-related user fees; the airport receives no property tax dollars. The Florida Department of Transportation values the airport’s annual economic impact to the community at $283.5 million.
