Nov. 8, 2017

O-H-I-O! Get ready to ditch your winter coats and start packing those flip flops. Spirit Airlines is bringing its super savings to Columbus just in time for spring break! America’s first ultra-low cost carrier will arrive at John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH) on February 15, 2018 with new nonstop service to Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas, Tampa and Fort Myers. But the good news for C-BUS doesn’t stop there! New seasonal service to New Orleans and Myrtle Beach will start on March 22, 2018, providing the Arch City with a total of seven new routes to the country’s best vacation hotspots.

"We are excited to bring our ultra-low fares to Columbus just in time for spring break, connecting central Ohio to some of Spirit’s top vacation destinations,” said Mark Kopczak, Spirit Airlines' vice president of network planning. "With more daily, nonstop flight options to Florida and Las Vegas this winter, we know our guests will be able to save tons of money on air travel, and instead spend those savings on souvenirs, attractions and making memories on vacation.”

“By entering John Glenn International with service to seven cities, ultra-low-cost carrier Spirit Airlines has made a bold commitment to our region’s growing economy,” said Elaine Roberts, President & CEO of the Columbus Regional Airport Authority, which operates John Glenn International. “These new flights will provide travelers with additional options for creating lifetime memories of travel adventures with family and friends.”
