Recognized Aviation Leaders Oppose ATC Privatization

Even if you have contacted Congress before, there are still undecided members of Congress who need to continue hearing from our community. Please take action now!

Last week at NBAA-BACE, aviation leaders and legends came together to oppose air traffic control (ATC) privatization and H.R. 2997.

Capt. Jim Lovell, with his two trips around the moon; Capt. “Sully” Sullenberger, who served as pilot-in-command of the 'Miracle on the Hudson;' Sean Tucker, who recorded five airshow championships; Gen. “Fig” Newton, who flew four years with the USAF Thunderbirds and country music star and pilot Dierks Bentley are featured in a new video opposing ATC privatization.

Now is your time to join with this group in opposing ATC privatization. Your members of Congress are considering giving away our ATC system to the big airlines, and as a constituent, they need to hear that airlines and their lobbyists do not represent general aviation.

If H.R. 2997 becomes law, an airline-dominated board will control our access to airports and airspace, and where ATC system investments are made. This legislation represents the single-greatest threat general aviation has ever faced.
