With the ADS-B Out (Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast) deadline fast approaching, the aviation community needs to get ready. The NBAA is the right place to find out more about Esterline’s portfolio of CMC Electronics GPS product solutions that are available now, to meet your needs. The CMC Electronics GPS products are cost-effective, compatible with a long list of business jets and fully compliant with the ADS-B Out mandate. The company can also offer clear upgrade paths for LPV (Localizer Performance with Vertical Guidance) and GBAS (Ground-Based Augmentation System). The product family includes the CMA-6024 GPS Sensor with an embedded VHF Data Broadcast receiver that delivers SBAS (Satellite-Based Augmentation System) and GBAS Precision Approach to all aircraft. Also on show are the CMA-5024 GPS SBAS Landing System Sensor providing RNP-RNAV (Required Navigation Performance-Area Navigation) and LPV GPS Approach capability as well as the CMA-3024 SBAS Global Navigation System Sensor.

These high-reliability GPS products are the result of over 35 years of experience in the design and manufacture of CMC Electronics brand certified airborne GPS receivers for the business aviation, air transport and helicopter markets.

When it comes to secure cockpit connectivity, Esterline’s CMC Electronics family of PilotView® Electronic Flight Bags (EFBs) and Aircraft Information Servers (AISs) delivers scalable, avionics grade solutions that bridge cockpit, cabin and maintenance systems. This includes wireless aircraft data collection, wireless data loading and EFB data management applications.The company’s AIS products are designed as the secure information hub in the aircraft.  As OEM aircraft information and connectivity management requirements evolve, the PilotView® EFBs offer additional capabilities in applications support and greater integration with aircraft systems.  Designed for forward fit and retrofit applications, these innovative products are on show at the Esterline booth this year.

The PilotView® Aircraft Information System (AIS) is standard equipment on the Bombardier

C Series aircraft, with the AIS-EFB displays configuration offered as an option.  The PilotView® EFB products are a standard option on business aircraft, including the Dassault Falcon 900, 2000,7X and 8X, Embraer Legacy 600/650 and Lineage, Bombardier Challenger* 600* series* business jets, and by Boeing for Next-Generation 737s and BBJs. The PilotView® products are on numerous air transport aircraft such as the ATR, Embraer E-jets (170/190), the Airbus A320 and A330, and the Boeing 737, 747, 757,767 and 777.

A displays demonstrator at the booth showcases a selection of the latest Esterline products from the company’s Avionics Systems and Control & Communication Systems business groups. These include avionics displays such as the 15” displays featured on the COMAC C919 aircraft; the MDU-268V2 with the first certification of a Projected Capacitive (PCAP) touchscreen display; the Touchscreen Control Unit Display showcasing the next generation of Human Machine Interface as well as the CMC Electronics PilotView® Electronic Flight Bag and e-connectivity solution selected for the Bombardier C Series aircraft. Other key products being showcased include a Korry overhead panel that features the first ever application of touchscreen technologies for this application, with Gulfstream as the launch customer on the G500/G600.
