LAS VEGAS, Oct. 9, 2017 – BLR Aerospace today announced four additions to its fixed-wing dealer network for King Air and piston aircraft upgrades.
The new dealers include AMK Aviation of Ontario, Canada; Rose Aircraft Services of Mena, Arkansas; Tiffin Aire of Tiffin, Ohio; and Upper Valley Aviation of British Columbia, Canada.

BLR’s Winglet System is an aluminum wing tip, carbon fiber winglet with integrated position, recognition and strobe LED lighting. The Winglet System increases overall wingspan and wing aspect ratio to reduce induced drag for faster flight on less fuel. More than 1,000 Winglet Systems are installed on King Air 90, 200, 300 Series and Duke aircraft operating worldwide.
In addition to a head-turning new red and yellow exterior paint scheme and interior done by Rose Aircraft Services, Jeff Jacobs, President and Chief Executive Officer of Southwest Specialty Foods, just completed updating his King Air 90 with Winglets and Whisper Prop®. The resulting performance increases were augmented with the purchase of the BLR Ultimate Performance Package (UPP) with an increased gross weight amended Flight Manual Supplement for certified short field performance of up to 33 percent reduction in runway departure length. Other performance improvements include reduced time to climb and useful load increases, including the maximum takeoff weight up to 10,500 pounds.
“This upgrade was the best decision I’ve made,” said Jacobs. “My time to altitude has been reduced by 25 percent, and the quietness is just unbelievable.” In addition, “the whole experience with BLR and Rose Aircraft Services has been nothing but 100 percent enjoyable.”
Available for King Air 90, 200 and 300 Series aircraft, the BLR Whisper Prop is a carbon fiber propeller with a natural composite core that delivers unprecedented reductions in noise (up to 50 percent dB), vibration and weight, among other benefits.
BLR will exhibit its Winglets and Whisper Prop propeller products in Exhibit C10225 during NBAA’s Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) Oct. 10-12 in Las Vegas.
