GKN Aerospace Names New CEO

Hans Büthker will become Chief Executive Officer GKN Aerospace on 1 January 2018.

Hans Büthker is currently CEO of GKN Aerospace’s Fokker business. He will step up to the divisional role after it was announced this month that GKN Aerospace’s current CEO, Kevin Cummings, will become Chief Executive Officer GKN plc in January. 

Nigel Stein, who retires as Chief Executive Officer GKN plc at the end of 2017, said: “I am delighted that Hans will take on the role. Fokker has been an excellent acquisition for GKN Aerospace and Hans has played a significant role in that success. I know he will be an excellent leader of GKN Aerospace.”

Hans Büthker joined GKN when it acquired Fokker in 2015, having worked in a variety of roles in Fokker and its former owners Arle and Stork since 1997.
