Lamar Advertising Co.on Sept. 13, announced that it was recently awarded the ten-year exclusive advertising concession for Southern California’s Ontario International Airport (ONT). Under the contract, Lamar will launch a new comprehensive airport advertising program, including indoor and outdoor advertising displays within ONT Terminals 2 and 4 and airport parking venues, as well as new billboard signage on airport property.

ONT served more than 4.3 million passengers in 2016 and is growing: domestic and international passenger traffic increased 6.4 percent in the first half of 2017.

“We believe our new partnership with Lamar Advertising Company further strengthens our position as the emerging global gateway airport in Southern California,” said Ontario International Airport Authority President Alan D. Wapner.

ONT is a short drive from world-famous beaches, mountain and desert retreats, Hollywood, Disneyland and the San Diego Zoo. The airport’s location and convenient access provides a gateway for Southern California business travelers as well.

New advertising opportunities will include:

  • In-terminal airport advertising displays: state-of-the-art digital displays in concourses and baggage claims, vibrant backlit tension fabric signs and banners, sponsorships, marketing and branding packages, wallscapes and floor-mounted displays
  • Advertising displays outside airport terminals: wallscapes, branded welcome signs and light pole banners
  • Airport parking: bus branding opportunities, wraps on gate arm faces at parking lot exits and advertising on parking lot tickets
  • Outdoor advertising: Static and digital billboard inventory on airport property reaching passengers as they enter, exit and pass by the airport

“We are very proud to launch Ontario International’s new advertising program,” said Shauna Forsythe, director of airport business development for Lamar Advertising Company. “We’ve watched the progress of the airport and its journey to become an independent entity, and we are excited at the opportunities that ONT brings to national and local advertisers.”

“It’s exciting to be a partner with the Ontario International Airport Authority as this airport grows to its full potential,” said Sean Reilly, CEO of Lamar Advertising. “Lamar continues to develop great partnerships like this one with OIAA, as we expand our airport division nationwide.”
