Pan American Institute of Aviation Law Launched During 2017 Aviation Law Americas Conference

Miami, Florida (September 12, 2017) - During the ALTA Aviation Law Americas Conference, which took place September 6 - 8, 2017, in Bogota, Colombia, the Pan American Institute of Aviation Law (IPDA - Instituto Panamericano de Derecho Aeronáutico) was launched.

The objective of the new organization is to promote and research aviation law, academic exchange, doctrin, jurisprudence and aviation law experience among legal professionals throughout Americas in order to promote and develop the region's aviation industry.  The founding act was signed by more than 70 industry professionals from throughout the region and Europe.
Celebrating its 11th anniversary, the ALTA Aviation Law Americas is the region's premier legal conference focused specifically on the aviation industry.  More than150 executives, including top law firms, aviation industry experts and airlines from throughout the region attended the two-day conference focused on exchanging views, ideas, and best practices on legal, finance and aero-political issues and challenges that the industry is currently facing in the region.
This year's conference featured highly informative panels, networking opportunities, and top tier speakers who shared their invaluable expertise on an array of topics, including:

In addition, ALTA's Legal and Aeropolitical Committee and the IATA-ALTA Aeropolitical Forum took place on September 6, 2017, and was attended by 40 representatives from airlines and executives from local boards.  They analyzed relevant regulatory aspects of the region's air transport industry and the committee's 2018 agenda was developed.
