INFORM GmbH’s Optimization Solutions Being Used By 11 of The Top 20 Airlines

INFORM GmbH, a leading global provider of Advanced Optimization Solutions for the airline industry, has another credential for its widely-recognized software. It is that 11 of the world’s top airlines ranked by seat capacity are applying one or more of INFORM’s optimization solutions.

The rankings were recently reported by OAG Aviation Worldwide Ltd., a leading global provider of digital flight information. In its OAG Take-off Report titled, “Essential Metrics on the World’s Major Airlines,” the top 20 carriers based on 12 months’ seat capacity from March 2016 to February 2017 were listed.

They included: American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Southwest Airlines, United Airlines, Ryanair, China Southern Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, Turkish Airlines, easyJet, Lufthansa German Airlines, Air China, LATAM Airlines Group, Emirates, All Nippon Airways, British Airways, Air Canada, Air France, Japan Airlines, Lion Air and Aeroflot Russian Airlines.

Altay Fellah, vice president of business development, noted that, “The airlines that are dominating the market today have one thing in common. They are all leveraging leading-edge technologies to streamline their operations, hold down costs, and enable them to deliver a better passenger experience. That formula is driving their capacities up and earning them places on the industry’s top airlines’ lists. It’s not surprising to us that over half of the airlines on the OAG list are among our customers.”

Among INFORM’s customers on the OAG “Top 20 Carriers…” list is LATAM Airlines Group, which ranked 12th with a 12-month seats capacity of 80,610,826. In December 2015, the group contracted for the implementation of INFORM’s GroundStar Solutions at its passenger and ramp services operations in São Paulo, Brazil and Chile, Santiago Airports. In February 2017, LATAM Senior Manager noted that as a result of the INFORM solution’s application, “We have been able to accomplish our profitability goals in the planning area, and we are confident that we will profit from the rollout of the rostering part, due to the promising results we are experiencing in the already implemented stations.” INFORM has received similar feedback from other INFORM customers on the OAG list.
