Aeroméxico Connect, SF Airlines of China and S7 Airlines of Russia Purchase Simulators from FlightSafety

The new FlightSafety FS1000 simulators are scheduled to be installed next year.

NEW YORK (August 28, 2017) – FlightSafety International announces that Aeroméxico Connect will acquire its second full flight simulator for the Embraer E190 aircraft from FlightSafety.

The new FlightSafety FS1000 simulator is scheduled to be installed at the Aeroméxico Training Center in Mexico City during the 2nd quarter of 2018.

The new FlightSafety FS1000 simulators are designed to replicate the exact flight and performance characteristics of the aircraft they represent. They offer a highly modular and ergonomic design and a completely new instructor operating station. FS1000 simulators are designed for maximum reliability, ease of maintenance and support. The simulator being built for Aeroméxico Connect will be equipped with a FlightSafety VITAL 1100 Visual System that provides unprecedented fidelity, highly detailed mission specific imagery, and exceptional environmental effects. Training benefits also include a whole-Earth environment and worldwide database that incorporates latest terrain information with geo-specific satellite images.

Aeroméxico Connect is the regional airline of Groupo Aeroméxico S.A. de C.V. which also owns Aeroméxico Airlines. Aeroméxico Connect operates Embraer ERJ-145 and E190 aircraft, with crew bases in Mexico City, Monterrey, and Tijuana. The airline offers more than 300 scheduled flights daily to Mexico, the United States, Central America, and the Caribbean.

SF Airlines of China has also purchased a full flight simulator for the Boeing 757-200F aircraft.

The new FlightSafety FS1000 simulator is scheduled to be installed at the SF Airlines training facility in Shenzhen, China late next year.

FlightSafety FS1000 simulators feature tightly integrated computer hardware and software across subsystems which allow for more accurate and higher fidelity simulation. They offer a new multi-function instructor operating station designed to enhance the effectiveness of training by providing an intuitive interface, scalable graphics, and large multi touch displays. The simulators are equipped with FlightSafety’s VITAL 1100 visual system and electric motion control and cueing.

FlightSafety has delivered more than 140 simulators for commercial aircraft to date. They include a variety of devices for aircraft manufactured by Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier and Embraer and are utilized by airlines in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North and South America.

SF Airlines Co., Ltd. is an air cargo company and member of the S.F. Express Group based at Bao'an International Airport in Shenzhen, Guangdong province. The airline provides services throughout Asia using its fleet of over 40 Boeing aircraft.

S7 Airlines of Russia has ordered a full flight simulator for the Embraer E170 aircraft.

The new FlightSafety FS1000 simulator is scheduled to enter service at the S7 Airlines training facility located at the Moscow Domodedovo airport in Russia late next year.

Acquiring a FlightSafety International full flight simulator will give our pilots the opportunity to train in Russia under the supervision of experienced instructors at the S7 Training Center, the largest in Eastern Europe. The simulator will be equipped with an advanced visual system that brings flights as close as possible to real conditions. The instructor station provides tools to recreate any condition and to help pilots master all the skills required,” said Vladimir Obyedkov, CEO of S7 Airlines.

The advanced technology systems incorporated into the FlightSafety FS1000 simulator being built for S7 Airlines are designed to enhance performance, increase availability, and lower life cycle costs compared to previous-generation devices. They include FlightSafety’s VITAL 1100 visual system, electric motion control and cueing, and a new multi-function Instructor Operating Station that features an intuitive interface, scalable graphics, and large multi touch displays.
