CommutAir, a United Express Carrier, Appoints Robert L. Rinne Managing Director of Materials and Sourcing

NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio, Aug. 23, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- CommutAir has appointed Robert L. Rinne as Managing Director of Materials and Sourcing to be based in Albany, New York.

Rob will oversee CommutAir's supply chain management organization - including purchasing, rotable repairs, inventory control and planning, component reliability, and vendor contracts. "Rob's vast experience at high-growth companies and his experience with developing organizations and implementing processes and systems will be invaluable to CommutAir as we grow and add bases and facilities," said Lon Ziegler, CommutAir's Vice President of Maintenance.

Rob comes to CommutAir after seven years at Allegiant Air where he was Director of Technical Procurement and Contracts, responsible for Maintenance, Flight Ops, In-Flight, and IT procurement.  Rob holds a Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) and is a Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M).  "I joined CommutAir because I saw an exciting opportunity to build a first-class materials organization at a fast-growing airline," said Rinne.

Rob and his wife Linda will relocate from Las Vegas. Rob is an avid weekend powered and glider aircraft pilot and frequently conducts cadent orientation flights as well as search and rescue missions for the Civil Air Patrol.
