Tulsa International Airport Announces Agreement with Lyft

Aug. 4, 2017

Lyft is the first ride-hailing service to sign an agreement with Tulsa Airports Improvement Trust (TAIT) to formalize their operations at Tulsa International Airport.

Starting Aug. 3, passengers arriving at TUL utilizing the Lyft app to request a vehicle can be picked up at a designated area located on the Arrivals Roadway.

Tulsa International Airport CEO, Mark VanLoh believes this step is critical to a long-term relationship with the nation’s fastest growing ride-hailing company. VanLoh said, “This agreement allows us to formalize a location for Lyft drivers to meet their riders – improving the level of service for our mutual customers. Lyft’s willingness to acknowledge their use of airport infrastructure and the need to provide funds to support the quality of roadway and parking facilities offered by the airport speaks to the level of commitment that they are willing to provide to our community.”

“We're thrilled to announce our partnership with Tulsa International Airport, which will bring Lyft's safe, reliable, and affordable transportation options to those utilizing the airport,” said Kirk Safford, Lyft’s senior manager for airports & venues. "We'd like to thank Chief Executive Officer Mark VanLoh and his staff for their collaborative effort in reaching this agreement."
