Waterford, Mich. – Pentastar Aviation, an authorized Honeywell Dealer, has added seven additional airframes to Approved Model List (AML) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) ST04194CH for certification of Honeywell’s DU-875 flight deck display upgrade. These airframes include Cessna 550, 560 and 560XL; Cessna 750; Dassault Mystere-Falcon 900 and Falcon 900 EX and Learjet 45 series.

The DU-875 is a form-fit plug-n-play LCD upgrade that will replace the soon-to-be-obsolete DU-870 CRT displays found in older aircraft.

“The DU-875 is a low-risk upgrade increasing display reliability, resolving obsolescence issues and contributing to reduced cost of ownership,” said Jesse Beard, Pentastar Aviation’s Avionics and Engineering Manager. “This offer provides brand new equipment and a growth path to Primus Elite with Enhanced Features (charts, maps, XM Weather) and Advanced features (SVS) on several of the platforms through additional software and hardware upgrades.”

The FAA certification of these aircraft by Pentastar Aviation’s skilled avionics team will benefit aircraft owners, as the LCD display is significantly lighter than the older display- providing weight reduction and fuel savings. The LCD display units can be replaced individually or as a complete suite.

Honeywell is offering a $40,000 trade-in incentive per display replacement, until December 31, 2017.
