Indianapolis Airport Welcomes New Frontier Flight to Tampa

July 20, 2017

Indianapolis travelers now have a new flight option to visit the beach, with Frontier Airlines now adding a Tampa destination in the fall.

As part of Frontier Airlines’ larger announcement of service to 84 other additional routes across the country, Frontier Airlines will begin nonstop service to Tampa International Airport in November.

Tampa is the latest addition to destinations Frontier already offers out of Indy, which include Las Vegas, Denver, Orlando and Fort Myers. The Tampa inaugural flight is scheduled for Nov. 12. The Tampa flight provides another option for travelers seeking to head to Florida for leisure or business travel, in addition to Frontier’s existing nonstop flights to its other Florida destinations.

Previously, Southwest Airlines offered the only nonstop Tampa flight from Indianapolis.

“The more new routes and options our airline partners make available to destinations of interest to travelers, the louder the message that Indy is worth the investment,” said Mario Rodriguez, executive director of the Indianapolis Airport Authority.
