Campers Wanted!

The Southern Museum of Flight is hosting two more camps for students, ages 8-14, Junior Aviators Camp July 17-21, and S.C.O.R.E Chaotic Robotics Camp July 31- August 4.

The Southern Museum of Flight is hosting two more camps for students, ages 8-14, Junior Aviators Camp July 17-21, and S.C.O.R.E Chaotic Robotics Camp July 31- August 4. The Junior Aviator camp will explore in depth the history, science and technology of aviation, while venturing into its various worlds - commercial, military, private and corporate aviation.

Each day students will be able to receive hands-on experiences that include Quad Copter lessons and demonstrations, hands-on projects and field trips to the Birmingham Airport Authority, Birmingham Flight Center, Private and Corporate Hangers, and the 117 th Air Refueling Wing.

S.C.O.R.E, Southeastern Center of Robotics Education at Auburn University and the Southern Museum of Flight will jointly teach the Chaotic Robotics Camp as campers will explore the science and engineering of building robots. This exciting new camp will feature robotic kits and hands-on engineering and aviation activities.  

Camp t-shirts and snacks are included. Camp activities are 9:00 am - 3:30 pm each day with student drop off at 8:45-9:00am. Student pickup time is 3:30-4:00 pm.  

Registration Costs: $400 for non members of SMOF and $375 for members of SMOF.
