OneJet on June 15, opened sales on its augural route to Albany, with flights beginning June 28, to and from Pittsburgh. The flights will offer a convenient one hour linkage between the two cities, providing twice daily nonstop service, conveniently timed for business travelers.
- Pittsburgh to Albany – departing at 5:50am (arriving 7:00am) and 6:20pm (arriving 7:30pm)
- Albany to Pittsburgh – departing at 7:20am (arriving 8:35am) and 7:50pm (arriving at 9:05pm)
OneJet CEO, Matthew Maguire, commented, “We’re tremendously pleased to begin service to Albany. The ability for travelers to quickly and easily move between key cities is a critical factor for our major corporate customers and other business travelers. We’re pleased to provide additional transportation linkages to both Pittsburgh and Albany that will support the continued economic growth of both regions.”
Reverend Kenneth Doyle, Chairman of the Albany County Airport Authority, added: “The arrival of One Jet further complements Albany air service by offering an expedient, affordable, and direct link to Pittsburgh for upstate New York business and leisure travelers.”
The service will be operated by the company’s Hawker 400XP jet aircraft. Passengers on the routes will enjoy a variety of travel-enhancing benefits, including TSA Pre access for eligible travelers, expedited boarding, complimentary high speed WIFI, and a selection of healthy snacks.
Former Secretary of Transportation, Ray Lahood, a senior advisor to the One Jet program, concluded: “Albany represents the 8th city to join’s One Jet’s regional transportation network. This inaugural route presents an important first step in bringing additional, nonstop air transportation infrastructure to New York State, providing a critical economic tool for the city of Albany and an important complement to the hub services provided by mainline carriers.”
