Developers of aviation’s first working ‘smart seating’ technology are set for a Europe wide lift-off despite the UK’s Brexit from the EU.Hampshire and Buckinghamshire-based FliteTrak is leading the way with its cutting-edge ViatorAero which streams live information from airline seating and cabins directly into the hands of attendants and pilots.It can monitor individual seats for temperature, passenger movement and seatbelt closure as well as lock overhead containers, detect mobile phone activation and provide an environmental overview of the entire cabin interior.ViatorAero also brings predictive maintenance benefits for greater fleet efficiency and continuous service.The company is working with two aviation interior companies to develop seating for the market. FliteTrak unveiled ViatorAero at the Hamburg Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) 2017 in April.
