Allegiant Launches Austin-Indianapolis Nonstop From South Terminal

May 19, 2017

Allegiant Air launched a new, daily nonstop service between Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) and Indianapolis International airport (IND) on May 19. Inaugural flight ceremonies were held in the South Terminal and included a ribbon cutting, cake and live music by Danny Britt and Marvin Dykhuis.

“We’re excited to begin these affordable, nonstop flights from Indy to authentic, Austin,” said Lukas Johnson, Allegiant senior vice president of commercial. “We know travelers will take advantage of this year-round service to enjoy convenient getaways to the Live Music Capital of the World.”

The new flight will operate daily out of the South Terminal, Allegiant Air’s new location.

“Now the race fans in Indy can easily come to our Grand Prix at the Circuit of America or see a concert there and enjoy the Live Music Capital of the World,” said Jim Smith, executive director of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. “We welcome Allegiant’s growth at Austin’s airport.”
