Sun Country Airlines to Return to Tucson International Airport

May 10, 2017

Sun Country Airlines is returning to Tucson International Airport next winter giving southern Arizonans another opportunity to fly to the Twin Cities, but more importantly for Tucson’s tourism industry it will give Midwesterners more chances to escape the cold and come enjoy the sun.

Sun Country announced May 10, it will begin seasonal nonstop service Minneapolis-St. Paul beginning Dec. 21. The flights will operate three days a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays through April 15.

“We are thrilled to welcome Sun Country Airlines back to Tucson International Airport,” said Bonnie Allin, president and CEO of the Tucson Airport Authority. “Giving southern Arizonans more opportunities to fly is a priority for the TAA. This time we also look forward to welcoming more Midwesterners to come enjoy our great weather and community.”
