CLE Director Named to International Board

May 10, 2017

Cleveland Hopkins International Airport’s (CLE) Director of Airports, Robert Kennedy has been named by the International Airport Professionals Community of Practice (IAP CoP) to the organization’s Board of Directors.

“I am very excited to join the IAP CoP Board. The mission of the global non-profit organization is to further develop executive skills of airport professionals and their efforts are making a positive difference in global aviation,” said Kennedy. “The airport industry is growing in complexity. My participation on the CoP Board will be invaluable to the work we are doing at CLE as we strive to implement change, using the industry’s best practices.”

As a participant, the director will not only create opportunities to enhance the practice and profession of airport management on a global level, but he will advance his knowledge and networking skills and continue pushing CLE forward as well.

The IAP CoP was launched in September 2012 to enhance professional development opportunities of airport management personnel in a cross-functional and cross-cultural setting by sharing best practices and leveraging international networks of airport leaders. The IAP CoP is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of members from Europe, North America, Africa, Asia, Middle East and South America, dedicated to furthering the profession of airport management.

Kennedy joined the city of Cleveland in January and has quickly set out to enhance the level of customer service and operating performance at Cleveland’s airports.
