Simi Valley, CA, April 26, 2017 — Malabar International announced today that it has developed a lightweight, portable “fly-away” axle jack for business and regional jets. The jack is compact and with an optional shipping case, can be carried on board. A 20-ton version has been successfully tested on a wide variety of aircraft.

Malabar Chief Engineer Bill Wright explained, “The Model 8966 “Fly-Away” Axle Jack consists of a three-stage cylinder assembly and a hand pump with hydraulic reservoir. A lifting handle is also supplied for ease of handling. It has a net weight of 35 pounds and features an optional shipping and storage case which has an additional weight of 35 pounds.”

“This unique and highly efficient portable jack is our most recent addition to our growing line of superior business jet maintenance equipment. The ability to carry an axle jack on the aircraft can be a big cost advantage for on-the-spot gear servicing at smaller airports,” said Dennis Suedkamp, Malabar’s Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing.

This jack is on display at Malabar’s Booth #1807 at the MRO Conference in Orlando.
