April 26, 2017

MEMPHIS, TN (April 26, 2017) – Memphis International Airport will seek to connect contractors to approximately half a billion dollars in contract opportunities on May 12 with the MEM Exchange 2017 forum at the Guesthouse at Graceland at 3600 Elvis Presley Boulevard. The forum will provide in-depth information about a variety of upcoming airport projects, as well as guidance for doing business with the airport.

MEM Exchange 2017 will take place between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m., and will also be geared to increasing partnerships with local, minority-owned and women-owned businesses. MEM Exchange will also provide networking opportunities for attendees to meet with local and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) contractors to assist in forming potential bidding and subcontracting teams.

“Our goal at MEM is to be a catalyst for the local economy,” said Scott Brockman, President and CEO of the Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority. “We want to form new partnerships with contractors, and we want to make existing partnerships stronger. MEM Exchange 2017 represents the beginning of a new era of connectivity between MEM and the business community.”

Projects related to the airport’s newly-updated concourse modernization will be among those discussed at MEM Exchange 2017.
