Beginning May 5, 2017 QAZAQ AIR will fly between Almaty and Taraz as part of their newly updated schedule of flights for the spring and summer period.
Twice a week, on Fridays and Sundays, Almaty residents will be able to travel to one of Kazakhstan’s most ancient cites on modern comfortable aircraft, the Bombardier Q400 NextGen.
“Located on the Great Silk Route, Taraz was one of the main political and economic centres of Central Asia. The city, with a history of more than 2000 years, can rightly be called a treasure of ancient Kazakhstan. We hope that with the start of our Almaty – Taraz route, we will be able to contribute to the growth of the Kazakh tourism industry and more people will be able to experience first hand the majesty of the mausoleums of Aisha Bibi, Karakhan, the Tekturmas architectural complex and other historical monuments, many of which are UNESCO heritage sites,” said QAZAQ AIR’s commercial director, Adel Dauletbek.
