Ameco’s Business Jets Service in Rapid Growth

Ameco’s business jets service is growing at a brisk pace. The Air China and Lufthansa’s MRO joint venture gained more workload in the first quarter of this year to that of last year and it also completed China’s first heavy maintenance on an A319 business jet.

Ameco has been providing maintenance and modifications on large-scale business jets since the 1990s, making it the first in China for this service. Facing the market prospects in China, Ameco in the year of 2012 promoted its business jets modification capabilities by resources integration and facility investment. At present, Ameco is capable of providing completions on large-scale business jets, such as Airbus A330, Boeing 737/747 and 747 new generation aircraft.

In addition to completion, Ameco’s market share of business jets maintenance keeps growing as well. The maintenance workload on business jets in 2016 is two times what it was in 2015. On the basis of providing scheduled checks and heavy maintenance on business jets, Ameco is able to meet the customer’s needs on aircraft entertainment upgrade, cabin interior refurbishment as well as system parts maintenance. In January of 2017, Ameco completed China’s first 6C-check on an A319 business jet. The customer is very satisfied with Ameco’s service, especially recognizes the work on cabin interiors.

Ameco is CAAC Designated Modification Design Organization Representative (DMDOR), has Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) and SAI Global-issued AS/EN9100 certificate of registration. In 2017, Ameco plans to get the approvals of other airworthiness authorities for market expansion.

Currently, Ameco has a hangar dedicated for business jets completion and maintenance, which can accommodate a wide-body aircraft or three narrow-body aircraft simultaneously. It has two cabin interior manufacturing workshops as well. With the market development, Ameco will invest more on the facilities and equipment while employ more skilled technicians for production capacity increase.

Data shows that, in the long run, China’s business jets market will grow and excellent business jets’ service providers are indispensable. Ameco expects faster growth on business jets service in 2017.
