Frontier Airlines Expands STL Service to Denver

March 24, 2017

Frontier Airlines is doubling its service between St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL) and Denver International Airport (DEN) in summer.

Frontier will launch a second daily flight between STL and DEN beginning June 5, giving travelers more options for travel to the Mile High City. The daily roundtrip is scheduled on a 180-seat A-320 aircraft departing at 7:35 p.m. Frontier currently operates daily roundtrip service on a 230-seat A-321. In June, that flight will depart STL at 1:50 p.m.

Denver is one of five markets for Frontier Airlines this June, which will see its monthly departures grow to 159 from 133. The new daily roundtrip will add more than 4,600 seats each way per month between St. Louis and Denver. Frontier’s other summer markets are Atlanta (ATL), Las Vegas (LAS), Orlando (MCO) and Cancun (CUN).

Frontier’s growth coincides with 16 straight months of passenger growth for St. Louis Lambert Airport. Through February, STL had a 4.7 percent increase in enplanements (departing passengers) versus the same time frame in 2016. In 2016, the Airport logged its best passenger activity performance since 2008 with a 10 percent increase in total passengers that approached 14 million, or 1.2 million more than in 2015.
