LaGuardia Airport Travelers Encourages to Use New Taxi Group Ride Sharing App

March 16, 2017

Travelers leaving LaGuardia Airport are encouraged to take advantage of the Bandwagon Taxi Share App at Bandwagon.io, which matches riders going to the same area and moves them to the front of taxi lines.  This results in cheaper fares, reduced time for travelers and fewer vehicles on the airport roadways, helping to relieve anticipated traffic congestion in the wake of Tuesday's storm that led to the cancellation of 99 percent of the airport's flights. Many flights today and tomorrow already are fully booked, and prior to travelling to the airport, passengers are urged to check with their airlines and leave plenty of time to arrive at the airport. Travelers without confirmed reservations for a flight that day should not come to LaGuardia Airport.

All passengers heading to and from LaGuardia Airport the rest of the week are advised to use mass transit, including the free Q70 LaGuardia Link, to help reduce congestion at the airport, which is undergoing a massive modernization project, as well as Bandwagon Taxi Share and other ride-sharing opportunities. Bandwagon staff, as well as Port Authority red-jacketed Customer Care Representatives, will be on-site at taxi lines to assist customers.
