CommutAir announced major changes to its Base Maintenance organization – creating opportunities for direct-entry Supervisory and Technical Leader positions at its bases in Albany (ALB), Newark (EWR), and Dulles (IAD).

NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio, March 7, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- CommutAir announced major changes to its Base Maintenance organization – creating opportunities for direct-entry Supervisory and Technical Leader positions at its bases in Albany (ALB), Newark (EWR), and Dulles (IAD).

Based on the changes, CommutAir is actively seeking direct-entry recruits into the following positions:

  • Base Supervisor

5+ years

Shift-in-Charge with field and supervisory 
responsibilities.  Stand-in for the Base Manager
during the shift

  • Technical Leader

5+ years

Reporting to the Supervisor but under
Maintenance Control (MOC) guidance. "Subject 
Matter Expert"

  • Crew Leader

3+ years

Senior technician with technical, computer, AND 
supervisory skills to lead road crews or large tasks

  • Technician

All Levels

A&P licensed technician with desire for career
progression

A newly-minted Technician can choose to follow the Supervisory Track (Crew Leader followed by Base Supervisor and then Base Manager) or can head down the Technical Track (to Technical Leader and MOC). Additional growth is expected as well, which will create even more advancement opportunities for technicians.
