The airline will begin new service between Denver International Airport (DEN) and Vancouver, Canada, beginning May 18

On Dec. 7, Air Canada announced that the airline will begin new service between Denver International Airport (DEN) and Vancouver, Canada, beginning May 18. Flights will operate twice per day through Sept. 10, and will operate once daily throughout the rest of the year.

"We are pleased that Air Canada will launch nonstop flights to Vancouver next May," said DEN CEO Kim Day.  "This new service will increase options for travelers to one of Denver's largest international markets."

Vancouver ranks as Denver’s second-largest market in Canada, behind only Toronto, and seventh-largest international market. Nearly 200 people per day travel between the two cities, and the market has grown by seven percent over the past year.

“We are delighted to add nonstop flights from Denver to Vancouver next year! Our new service will offer more travel options for local residents, both to visit Canada or to connect conveniently to our international network,” said Lisa Pierce, Senior Director, USA Sales & Market Development at Air Canada.

The new flights will be operated by Air Canada Express on Bombardier CRJ705 aircraft with seating for 75 passengers. Flights will depart Denver at 7:55 a.m. year-round, with a second departure at 2:55 p.m. in the summer. Flights will arrive in Denver from Vancouver at 6:25 p.m. year-round, and a second arrival at 2:20 p.m. in the summer.
