HMS Host Expands Footprint in the UK

Dec. 7, 2016

HMSHost International is expanding its footprint in the UK with new licensing partner Ca’puccino at Heathrow. The Italian high-end food chain provides guests with contemporary Italian culinary experiences. This marks the second licensing partner for HMSHost at Heathrow, joining FAB award winning naturally fast food chain LEON and the proprietary award-winning famous chef concept The Gorgeous Kitchen.

The outlet at Heathrow marks the start of a partnership between HMSHost International and Ca’puccino, that will see more outlets opening throughout the regions of HMSHost International within the next few years.

“HMSHost International has clear ambitions for growth,” says Walter Seib, CEO of HMSHost International. “This agreement with Ca’puccino marks a significant milestone in our strategy to increase our footprint in the rapidly expanding and dynamic UK marketplace through a strong local brand. Our goal is to become the UK’s undisputed and most reliable Food & Beverage operator.”

Ca’puccino at Heathrow is located at the center of Terminal 2 : The Queen’s Terminal. Travellers can indulge in contemporary Italian dishes, specialty coffees, desserts and wine. Ca’puccino is currently serving guests at eleven locations in Italy and six in the UK.

For Ca’puccino, the story began back in 2006, when the very first store opened in Barberino Designer Outlet near Florence. Two years later Ca’puccino opened its doors in Harrods, securing one of the most prestigious and desirable London locations. This created a perfect platform for the brand’s growth and expansion in the UK, a goal that will be fully realised with HMSHost International, beginning with the store at Heathrow.

“We are extremely pleased and proud to have partnered with such an important operator as HMSHost International,” says Giacomo Moncalvo, CEO of Ca’puccino. “This coupled with our openings in Dubai early 2017 will cement the future of Ca’puccino as a global brand, signifying our second great milestone after our private equity partners, B4 joined us in 2013. We look forward to a fruitful and strategic relationship with HMSHost.”
