NEWARK – Westfield is seeking new, unique brands and concepts for the redevelopment of Terminal B at Newark Liberty International Airport with its release of a comprehensive competitive process.

The new traveler experience will bring the heart and soul of New Jersey into the airport and draw design inspiration from the Garden State’s iconic locations like the Boardwalk and Ironbound.

“This will be a significant redevelopment of Terminal B and the beginning of an enhanced traveler experience,” said Iris Messina, Westfield’s Vice President of Leasing. “We’re looking for unique brands and motivated partners who are excited about working with us to reimagine Terminal B and highlight the amazing sights, sounds and flavors of New Jersey.”

Westfield is planning to showcase its vision and aspiration by hosting an outreach and tour of Terminal B on Dec. 13. Interested parties may click here to RSVP by 5 p.m. ET on Dec. 7.

CEP proposals are due no later than noon ET on Jan. 31, 2017. Click here to access all related CEP documents.

The CEP includes more than 33,000 square feet of space and offers opportunities in seven categories: ATMs, Currency Exchange, Duty Free, Food & Beverage, Health & Wellness, Specialty Retail and Travel Essentials (News & Gift).

The design will draw inspiration from the Boardwalk, the Ironbound and the Garden State:

  • The Boardwalk offers the warm colors and rich patterns that bring the Jersey Shore to life. Lined with homey, boutique shops, the Boardwalk has a relaxed feel with expansive views.
  • The Terminal will also capture the urban look and feel of North Jersey in Ironbound, with design elements inspired by metal and brick as well as vibrant street art. The Ironbound District is sophisticated yet approachable, with culinary treasures that bring diverse flavors and ingredients.
  • Whether at a boutique, the beach or the Boardwalk, The Garden State offers a different kind of adventure for everyone: fresh, artisanal foods, scenic views and the great outdoors.
