These flight support achievements demonstrate Sonoma Jet Center’s commitment to continuously improving our safety, service, and flight support offerings to best support our customers.
New Corporate Hangar Now Open
Sonoma Jet Center announces that it has completed construction of a new 21,000-square-foot aircraft hangar for lease to corporate clients. The hangar, located at the Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport, was designed by architect Del Starrett and constructed by Koch Construction Company.
The new hangar building includes office and workshop space, and is sized to accommodate large corporate jets including the Bombardier Global Express and Gulfstream 650. It is adjacent to existing Sonoma Jet Center service and fueling facilities, has direct access from Flightline Drive, and a vehicle gate to accommodate plane-side transportation. The hangar is designed to satisfy the needs of the most demanding corporate flight departments and includes a fully equipped exercise gym and shower, meeting spaces, and lounge areas.
The hangar and related facilities will help meet the growing demand for corporate hangar space at STS as business fliers seek a base of operations away from increasingly busy and expensive Bay Area airports such as Oakland (KOAK) and San Francisco (KSFO). STS recently completed a runway reconfiguration making the airport safer and more desirable for corporate aircraft to operate from.

IS-BAH Registration Achieved
Sonoma Jet Center is now the first FBO in Northern California to achieve its Certificate of Registration for implementing the International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling (IS-BAH). “Becoming certified is a big
achievement and demonstrates our pledge to safety excellence. We are proud of our whole team’s commitment to achieving this goal,” said General Manager Al Musetti.

Air Transportation Association (NATA) as a global code to identify and promote the use of industry best practices by means of a progressive Safety Management Systems (SMS) for both FBOs and Business Aircraft Handling Agencies. It follows the structure of the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO) and the NATA Safety 1st Ground Audit Program.
Aircraft Detailing Now Available
Sonoma Jet Center now offers professional aircraft detailing for business and general aviation aircraft. The Aircraft Detailing department has built a talented team who are professionally trained in interior and exterior aircraft cleaning and unique aviation materials.
Aircraft services include wet/dry wash, waxing, bright work, deice boots strip/seal, leather and carpet cleaning, interior detailing, and trip readiness cleanings. With experience on jet aircraft such as Gulfstreams and Falcons, turboprops including King Airs and Pilatus, and piston engine aircraft as well, our team of expert aircraft detailers helps to preserve the longevity of aircraft surfaces and keep aircraft looking their best.

Sonoma Jet Center Establishes Airline Ground Handling Department
Sonoma Jet Center announces that it has established an airline ground handling department to serve the rapidly expanding Sonoma County/Santa Rosa market and beyond. Sonoma Jet Center has assembled a team of professionals with over 65 years of aviation experience including station management at regional and major airlines.
Service offerings include all “above the wing” customer service tasks including passenger check-in and ticketing, passenger boarding, and baggage services. Sonoma Jet Center’s “below the wing” ramp services include aircraft marshaling and pushback, baggage loading and unloading, and deicing. These services are in addition to Sonoma Jet Center’s safe and reliable into-wing fueling as well as our at the ready, on-call maintenance professionals.
