Budding pilots in Northern Ireland will now have access to Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) approved drone training as UAVAir announced its latest course location, adding to its growing list across the UK. The leading aerial experts will be bringing its Unmanned Aerial Qualification (UAQ) course to the Clandeboye Estate, Belfast Road, Bangor on the 26-28 November, 2016. Over three days, candidates are given fast-track but thorough drone training, covering both practical and theoretical aspects of the technology. All successful applicants will receive a CAA approved drone license, enabling them to embark upon a drone piloting career.
The course from UAVAir is designed by commercial airline pilots and developed by leading drone operators. Using their extensive experience of working in both manned and unmanned aviation, the UAQ training enlists its candidates with the essential skills required to enter the professional drone pilot market. Those that pass the initial UAQ course are then invited to apply for a Permission for Commercial Operations (PfCO) licence, allowing them to legally fly a drone for commercial purposes.
