PEMCO Receives Certification from Colombia’s Civil Aviation Authority

It has received operation certification from the Unidad Administrativa Especial de Aviación Civil (UAEAC) of Colombia, the country’s Civil Aviation Authority, granting the MRO the ability to work on Colombian registered aircraft.

Tampa, Fla. (October 04, 2016) – Pemco World Air Services (PEMCO) announced that it has received operation certification from the Unidad Administrativa Especial de Aviación Civil (UAEAC) of Colombia, the country’s Civil Aviation Authority, granting the MRO the ability to work on Colombian registered aircraft. It’s the latest milestone for PEMCO, whose maintenance division specializes in narrow-body and regional jet aircraft.

“This is a major step for our facility and demonstrates our team’s hard work to further our capabilities,” said Ernie Kiss, VP of quality and engineering.

The categories of certification include:

  • Class II Limited Airframe
  • Class IV Limited Instrument
  • Class III Limited Radio Navigation
  • Class I Limited Accessory
  • Class III Limited Powerplant
  • Class I & II Limited Specialized Services

“A number of operators have shown interest in our company obtaining Colombian certification,” said CEO Pastor Lopez. “We have now expanded our MRO capabilities to South America and will continue to provide quality service based on our four fundamental cornerstones.”
