Stevens Aviation Announces AS9110 Certification

It has been certified to ISO9001C and AS9110B Quality Management Standards at its Greenville, SC, location. The certification covers: design, maintenance, repair, alteration, servicing and integration of systems, equipment and components on DoD aircraft

Greenville, SC —Stevens Aviation, announced today that it has been certified to the ISO9001C and AS9110B Quality Management Standards at its Greenville, SC, location. The scope of certification is: design, maintenance, repair, alteration, servicing and integration of systems, equipment and components on DoD aircraft.

“This certification further demonstrates Stevens’ commitment to provide the highest quality MRO services” commented David Crowder, General Manager of Stevens - Greenville. “The rigor required achieving and maintaining this certification will be reflected across each and every offering we provide to the U.S. Military and its partners. I am extremely excited for what the future holds.”

Certification was provided by SAI Global, an international third-party certifying body. SAI Global will be accomplishing the required surveillance audits. According to Dendall Wood, Quality Manager and Chief Inspector.

“Obtaining AS9110 certification for Stevens’ DoD customers is having a positive impact on the culture and activities for all Stevens’ operations here in Greenville. Many of the procedures are also being applied to the commercial aviation divisions, for example, Corrective Action, Nonconforming Product, and Purchasing.“ The AS9110 differs from AS9100 in that it is written to address the requirements of the maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) industry. It is published by the International Aerospace Quality Group “The AS9110 certification promotes our quality management system to the global standard and objectively demonstrates Stevens is committed to delivering quality MRO services,” said John Fowler, AS9110 Manager at Stevens Aviation, Greenville.
