EIA and Partners Raise $175,000 for Community Groups

Sept. 21, 2016

The Edmonton Region came together with local, national and international companies to raise $175,000 at the Sixth Annual EIA Charity Golf Classic, for a six year total of $795,000.

For more than a decade, EIA has been a key supporter of Youth Empowerment and Support Service (www.yess.org). Through the generosity of its partners, EIA is able to extend its support to two additional charities: Riseup Society Alberta (www.riseupsociety.ca/) and the Leduc and District Food Bank (www.ldfb.ca). Seventy per cent of the funds raised by the EIA Charity Golf Classic directly support YESS, while Riseup Society and the Leduc and District Food Bank each receive 15 percent.

"It is especially important in challenging economic times that friends come together to help people in need in our community. We are very grateful for the generosity of everyone who supported this event," said Tom Ruth, EIA president and CEO.
