Allegiant Celebrates 1 Millionth CVG Passengers

Aug. 18, 2016

Allegiant on Aug. 17 celebrated its one millionth passenger from the Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG). The lucky one millionth passenger was on Allegiant’s nonstop flight to Orlando Aug. 17, and was awarded free flights for an entire year. Every other passenger on the flight was also surprised with two free round-trip tickets to use on Allegiant. The flight giveaway was part of Allegiant’s ongoing “$1 Million Summer” promotion.

“We were very excited to celebrate this terrific milestone at CVG today,” said Jude Bricker, Allegiant chief operating officer. “Reaching this passenger number in the short time we have been flying from this community is a testament to how well local travelers have embraced Allegiant. We hope that the Tri-State area continues to take advantage of our low-cost, nonstop flights to the great destinations we have to offer.”

“Allegiant began flying out of CVG a little more than two years ago, and their growth has been tremendous,” said Candace McGraw, chief executive officer, CVG. “Not only have they increased to serving 14 nonstop markets, but they’ve established a base of operations here in Cincinnati.”

Allegiant announced the “$1 Million Summer” promotion in March with plans to work closely with partners in the communities they serve to identify travelers in need of complimentary travel. Allegiant is confident the campaign will provide groups and individuals travel opportunities they may not otherwise be able to take.
