Oshkosh, Wisc., July 24, 2016 - In an aviation industry first, Hartzell Propeller has extended the warranty on its Top Prop conversion propellers all the way through first overhaul. This is the longest warranty for propellers offered anywhere in the general aviation industry."As a pilot and aircraft owner myself, I know that cost is a big hurdle to the success of general aviation," said Hartzell Propeller President Joe Brown. "We are doing our part to reduce costs while at the same time promoting safety through recommended periodic maintenance."Effective July 1, 2016The new warranty is effective on the entire line of Top Prop propellers delivered after July 1, 2016, at no additional cost. It further extends what was already the longest warranty program in the industry, which was three years or 1,000 hours, whichever came first."Clearly, this warranty extension is an expression of the confidence we have in our people and propellers. Hartzell's EAA AirVenture exhibition will run July 25-31 at Booth 296-297 in the main aircraft display area. The exhibit will feature the Top Prop program and specialists will be on hand to answer questions about the new warranty program.

Operators can expect enhanced performance in one or more areas, including shorter take-off distances, lower noise levels, better ground clearances, reduced tip erosion, increased climb rate, increased cruise speed, and smoother operations.
